PAYMENT TERMS
1. DOCUMENTS AGAINST PAYMENT (D/P):
Common in international trade, this term implies that the Payment is made upon presentation of specified documents, such as: Inspection Report, Certificate of Quality, Certificate of Wight, and Quantity, Bill of Loading, Commercial invoice, packing list, Origin certificate, and other documents specified in the contract.
2. LETTER OF CREDIT (L/C)
A letter of credit is a document from a bank that guarantees payment. We work with several types of letters of credit, and they can provide security when buying and selling products or services.
Seller protection: If a buyer fails to pay a seller, the bank that issued a letter of credit must pay the seller as long as the seller meets all of the requirements in the letter. This provides security when the buyer and seller are in different countries.
